How we decide what goes on this page
A practice appears here only when two separate NHS records both show no NHS dental contract for it: the NHS Business Services Authority's monthly record of general dental contract activity holds no contract at its address, and it does not appear in the NHS find-a-dentist register. It must also hold a current registration with its regulator and have been reviewed by patients, so the list describes practices that are open and working.
Where we could not tell either way, the practice is left off rather than guessed at. That makes this list a floor and not a complete census. The contract records are published about three months after the month they cover, so a practice that has taken on an NHS contract recently may still appear here.
