Dentist Locator helps people across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland find and contact dental practices, using information published by each nation's regulator and other public sources, with every detail attributed and dated.

We are an information and referral directory. We are not a dental provider, nor a regulator, nor are we an emergency service. We help you find practices and their published details. The appointment, the price and the treatment are always between you and the practice.

Why Dentist Locator exists
Finding the right dentist in the UK can be challenging. Information is scattered across four different regulators, NHS systems and thousands of individual practice websites, and it goes out of date quickly. We built Dentist Locator to bring it together in one place, attribute every fact to its source, and show when we last checked it, so you can weigh up your options and contact a practice directly.
What we are, and what we are not

- A transparent record of where each detail came from, and when
- A dental practice or provider of treatment
- The NHS, a regulator, or a commissioner of care
- An emergency or urgent-care service
Because we don't provide treatment, we can't advise on your dental health and we don't supervise or guarantee the care any practice provides. What we can do is help you find the right practice and give you accurate, sourced information to start that conversation. The full detail of our role and its limits is set out in our Terms of use.
Our independence
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the NHS, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW), Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS), the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA), the General Dental Council (GDC), or any listed dental practice. We present information those bodies and practices have published, attributed to its source. Where we refer to the NHS, we do so only to point you to official NHS information and pathways. We don't use NHS branding to imply endorsement.
How we check listings
Every listing is built from published sources and checked routinely. We confirm that a practice exists, draw on each nation's regulator, and accept corrections directly from practices. We are clear about what we don't verify, for example we don't independently assess clinical quality or real-time emergency capacity. How we make money
Listings on Dentist Locator are free, and a free listing is never ranked lower for not paying. Practices can choose a paid plan for an enhanced profile. Where a listing is paid for or managed by the practice, we say so on the page.
