Faith based cafe with a huge space including sofas for groups. Good jacket potatoes, breakfasts, cafe-quality drinks and all very affordable (due to volunteer staffing). A great place to meet up with friends, free parking up past the library. While linked to the church (and with churchy affirmations in the art work), I've always been happy to arrive just as a customer so don't worry if you're of a other faith or none. There are usually pay-it-forward eats and drinks available on the board by the till, for which you don't even pay, so check it out if you need a hot drink or bite to eat!

We have been attending Gateway church for the past year. My family were reluctant to attend church but have felt comfortable, welcomed and supported here. They run the alpha course, freedom in christ course as well as others and weekly discipleship hubs. So there is a lot if extra support and encouragment for those who want that. The children's church and youth are great groups for all ages if children and there are groups through school holidays and sometimes trips out. We enjoyed the service, but we're disappointed at the lack of welcome, despite the website statement on big welcome. I admit we were a few minutes late (no more than 5) but there was noone on the door to welcome or direct us (the church is on the 2nd floor, but absolutely no signs or notices to inform us of that. Thankfully a couple came in, saw my walking stick and explained there was a lift and take it to the 2nd floor. We had spotted the lift, but again, no notice about which floor to go to.
