Swansea Surgery

This is the most shambolic practice I have ever come across. My father is end of life and quite frankly there has been little care or service provided by the practice, bordering on negligence. We did eventually get a visit from a paramedic but this was after we got social services and adult social care involved (whom I cannot praise highly enough). There is absolutely no thought for the user at all. I'm currently standing at the reception waiting to pick up on a prescription. The receptionists are talking loudly about another staff member. They are aware of my presence, but could not care less. I don't know how long I will be standing here, but it has already been too long. They are not getting bored of their gossiping.

Worst GP experience I've ever had in terms of getting information or answers on anything, and the general admin of a practice. It's like pulling teeth. Overwhelming sense of lethargy and disinterest from staff when you speak on the phone. They act like it's not their duty. Borderline negligent. 'Computer says no' attitude. They also offer an online registration, which would seem helpful, but after submitting all the data it didn't work. I did it three times. They pleaded ignorance. I was recently seen by Dr Abdel Majid. Couldn’t have asked for a better consultation. I often find it difficult to assert myself and the pain I’m feeling. However, the Dr was very polite and non intimidating. Explained the previous advice and prescriptions I had, asked a lot of questions and was very proactive in next steps. The receptionist was also very lovely :)))
