My mum was transferred to Ogden Court after a stroke. The care she received has been exemplary. All staff have shown compassion and always treated mum with dignity and great care. I am particularly grateful for their care and kindness to mum's partner, myself and brother.
My sister in law was moved here for rehabilitation with a broken leg from the Norfolk and Norwich hospital where she engaged with the physiotherapist. After moving here for some reason she didn't respond with the physiotherapist and was "discharged" home asap without due diligence to all procedures being done properly in the community. It was a very distressing return home for her and thankfully the community stepped up quickly.
This hospital has a poor standard of "care". My frail elderly mother was left half undressed and icy cold in her chair one day, & in her bed the next. Her drink and call bell were left out of reach, and her painkillers were not given to her on at least one occasion. She fell down and was only discovered by a passing member of staff, as the motion sensor in her room had not been switched on. The hospital denies this, but it was observed by a visitor. I have complained to Norfolk Community Health & Care, who have admitted that the care at Ogden Court fell below the expected standards.
