I had an appointment last week for my 5 year old daughter. Everyone seemed friendly enough but what surprised me was when the dentist said she wouldnt treat my daughter if she had plaque. Thankfully she didn't have plauqe. Her reason was if a child has plaque its because shes not brushed properly in 3 days. She would just tell us to go and brush harder. I found this bizarre because not every child allows a parent to brush properly. I asked if she would treat an adult with plaque and she said yes (as she would be getting paid). I started going to Katherine Dental Care(Dr S Rajayogan) when I first moved to the area a 18 years ago and the treatment I have received is always first class and undertaken with such gentle kindness and consideration. The reception staff are also lovely and will always ensure an appointment to fit with my schedule even at short notice for emergency work etc. Keep up the GOOD WORK

Absolutely awful experience. I went in with severe toothache and clear symptoms of gingivitis, which I recognised myself. This was around three years ago. Instead of properly assessing or treating the issue,I was told to “just brush harder.”I explained that my gums were bleeding, and I was told to continue regardless,which is misleading and completely irresponsible advice. During a routine check-up, the dentist grazed my gums so badly that they were left bleeding extensively.My gums took over a week to heal, which shows how rough and careless the examination was. I recently visited Katherine dental care with my mum and had an excellent experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable right away, The Dr that treated me took the time to explain each step of the procedure and answered all my questions patiently. Happy with their service over all and I will highly recommend.
