This man put a mercury amalgam filling in my mouth without my informed consent. I had no idea they still use mercury in fillings and indeed they are being phased out world-wide. The mercury amalgam was to replace another filling that this man put in, which popped out a week after he placed it. When I left the practice I noticed metal shavings all over my mouth. I went back to him and he shouted at me for "biting down" (which he didn't tell me not to do, and if I did do, I didn't do consciously). He poked around for a second and said it's fine. I came out of this dental surgery crying my eyes out. This was the worst experience I've had at a dental practice. I asked for a temporary filling so I can eat and smile properly until the tooth gets a crown but the filling done left my tooth still having a gap. I will not be able to neither eat nor smile. I was not happy with the service provided and nobody seemed to care, either than to tell me "You'll get used to it" and to offer as the *only* solution if I wanted that fixed was an additional service costing £160 on top of what I already paid.....and this *cosmetic* procedure is to be do…

Dr Rashid is an amazing dentist with great bedside manner. I initially registered with another dental surgery in the area but was dismayed with their level of professionalism towards other patients as I sat in the waiting room. I didn’t return. With Dr. Rashid you intuitively sense that he is a kind person both inside and outside of his practice. I kind of didn’t want to post this review so he doesn’t get booked up but that would be selfish!
