Don’t have a medical emergency around your appointment. I was taken into the hospital last night (day before appointment) due to not being able to breathe properly. I’ve been bed bound, unable to move, therefore cancelling my appointment. £20 is the charge for missing a checkup. Medical emergency or not, £20 with no understanding. You have up to 2 hours before your appointment to cancel. Apparently 1 and a half isn’t good enough despite my circumstances. Can see this lack of empathy has happened before based on other reviews. Not shocked to hear the practice is losing patients.
Ended up leaving due to them first of all saying that I asked for a white filling which was blatant lies as I wanted a silver one. Then they tried to fine my partner for missing an appointment when she went into labour 3 weeks early on Sunday night and the appointment was Monday morning 🥴 So they have zero compassion for their customers, they said she still could have phoned and cancelled which is a ridiculous thing to say. I've heard of various other people in the village moving dentists recently as well.
I've always been a bit apprehensive about going to the dentist due to some bad experiences as a child (mostly due to me not looking after my teeth). I have been attending this dentist for over a year now and have had 4 visits, 2 Check-ups and two fillings. The dentist and staff have all been very friendly and professional. Having fillings is never going to be a great experience, but having them pain free, in a relaxed and calming atmosphere helps a lot. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone.
I have to say my experience so far has been very good - receptionist very helpful and got me signed up very quickly and booked in for check up. When having treatment dentist was quite thorough and carried out without any pain and as mentioned elsewhere injection painless. Having had above experience I find the negative comments on here very strange.
