Wanted to jump on here to leave a review for the incredible maternity care team at Darlington memorial hospital. I had a c-section 6 days ago at the hospital and was initially nervous about how the care would be, having not seen many positive reviews but I HAD NO REASON TO WORRY. After a change in schedule, I was seen to first by the operating team and instructed calmly and assuredly by my amazing midwife, Blessing, about what my partner and I were to do and expect. I had an amazing experience with ward 44. My grandma was brought in with heart failure and they did absolutely everything for her, I would go in every night to see her and they were so kind to me too. I went to Northallerton, the friary and James Cook and the care at ward 44 was by far the best and my grandma would often ask to be moved back there. The nurse looking after my grandma Abbie was incredible, she made the last months of my grandmas life happy in the worst time and supported and kept me informed. I was concerned that my heart rate had risen to 156bpm and BP dropped severely on Boxing Day so following a call to 111 I attended the hospital and received excellent care. I went to A&E and within a few minutes had my BP and Heart rate checked and then an ECG and Bloods. I was quickly moved to the Emergency unit where further ECG'S were taken and monitored until a room was made available on Ward 34 All staff we very caring and even came to see me as they changed shift to wish me well. Overall I could not fault the care and attention received at DMH

I had surgery yesterday and the staff were honestly amazing. Was not waiting long and they made sure I was comfortable and well. I even got a lovely care package from them that I appreciate so much. Huge thankyou to all the lovely staff. Everyone that treated/tended to me was amazing.
