Acceptable use policy
This policy sets out how you may and may not use the Dentist Locator website and its data. It forms part of our Terms of use.

Use the site to find and contact dentists. Don't extract it in bulk, don't copy our database wholesale, don't post false or harmful content, and don't try to break or misuse the service.
1Permitted use
You may use the site for your own lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes: searching for practices, viewing listings, contacting practices, and (for practices) managing your own listing. Practices may use their own listing for legitimate business purposes within our policies.
2Prohibited use
You must not:
- extract or copy information from the site systematically or in bulk, or use bots or other automated means to do so;
- copy, extract or re-use a substantial part of our database, or make repeated and systematic extractions of insubstantial parts, without our written permission (our database is protected, including by database rights);
- resell, redistribute or build a competing product from our data;
- post or submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, unlawful, or that infringes others' rights;
- impersonate a practice or person, or take on a listing you're not authorised to manage;
- upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or interfere with the site's security or operation;
- place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or bypass rate limits or access controls;
- use the site or its data for direct marketing to listed practices or individuals without a lawful basis;
- misuse contact routes, including sending spam or harvesting contact details.
3Content standards
Anything you submit, corrections, profile content, messages, must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading. Practice content must also meet the honesty rules for managing a listing, including the prohibition on false or misleading dental advertising.
4Automated access & APIs
We don't permit automated access except where we expressly allow it (for example a documented API or a written agreement). If you'd like data access for a legitimate purpose, contact [email protected] rather than extracting it from the site.
5Reporting misuse
If you see content or activity that breaks this policy, tell us via Corrections or [email protected].
6Enforcement
If you break this policy we may remove content, restrict or suspend access, end accounts or paid plans (see Subscription terms), and where necessary take legal action or report to the authorities. We'll act proportionately, but we treat threats to safety, security and data seriously.
