St John's Surgery - Windermere

This is by far the best NHS GP practice I have come across in London. Super easy to get in touch, quick response, staff at reception are incredibly helpful, welcoming and professional. The app patchs is definitely a plus making the doctors very easy to contact. BUT the only downside of the practice is the waiting time for blood tests (which is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5) - you get an appointment face to face same day super easy but then have to wait 10-15 days minimum for blood tests so I have ended up doing the blood tests privately a lot of the times to speed up things which is …

Their customer service is appalling. Last week Wednesday I walked into the practice to make an appointment for both of my parents who are in their 60s for a general health check and blood test. I was told by a lady called Irena at reception that while she can do it for my dad she won’t be able to book it for my mum and we need to use Patches, their online booking system, to book it for my mum and then they’ll be able to see her together with my dad. I have just joined this practise. It came highly recommended. I was seen for the first time by Dr Saul Kaufman today. I was warmly welcomed by Dr Kaufman he reviewed all my records so far. He was attentive to all my details and questions. From my first experience I am convinced I made a wise choice to have him as my GP. I am very grateful. It's about six months since I joined this surgery and my medical care is being well looked after from prompt action of delivering prescriptions and advice about new medications. Hi, I saw Dr Jones earlier this week. It was a great experience as always. She is one of the best GPs at St John’s Wood Medical Practice. She is always a great diagnostician - very caring and supportive towards the patients. Her sunny disposition and patience makes her approachable. She is a fantastic doctor.
