St Mawes Dental provides an exemplary service. Dr Nina has outstanding clinical skills and is highly experienced. The approach of the whole team personifies professionalism and the collective approach is very conducive to developing a productive rapport with clients. I have been treated with the utmost respect and a lovely sprinkling of humour, making me feel relaxed and safe in their hands. Information is extended in a comprehensive manner and I feel very involved in my care and treatment. I can be a little non complaint with essential monitoring at times but I am always welcomed back with…
I can’t recommend Nina highly enough. I came in with a long‑standing dental phobia, and she’s been nothing short of incredible in helping me overcome it. She’s genuinely personable, patient, and has a way of making you feel completely at ease from the moment you sit down. Every appointment has been calm, reassuring, and handled with real care. If you’re nervous about the dentist, Nina is exactly the person you want looking after you.
I came to St Mawes Dental with a number of quite serious issues arising from being a lifetime dentist-dodger. My aversion is a result of treatment in childhood by either a negligent or sadistic practitioner and my fear of dentists is off the chart. I am an 'extreme dental phobic'. I went on the NHS and the Indian dentist was dismissive, missed an infection needing root canal treatment, and focused on pushing a Truro dentist instead. As she didn't pick it up on the xray, I went on to develop an infection and need an emergency root canal, only to later develop an abscess and have it redone. ALL of this pain and infection should have been avoided with a single visit if the dentist was competent. Avoid at all costs. And be aware St Mawes that this same dentist also missed an issue my father had. She's not a good dentist!
