I had an appointment for a tooth that had broken. My appointment was with Chris Houlton. Like most people, going to the dentist is not one of my preferred pastimes. I have to say, this experience was probably the best I have ever had at a dentist. Chris was absolutely brilliant. He explained why my tooth had broken, every part of the process and even the numbing injection was painless. A fantastic experience....
I visited The Old Grammar School Dental Surgery for a check-up and had a really positive experience. I struggle with anxiety, but the dentist was kind, understanding, and made me feel at ease throughout. I truly appreciated the patience and care shown. Highly recommend!
Needed an emergency appointment which resulted in an unexpected and unavoidable extraction. Despite my abject fear about the procedure, Chris was remarkable; calm, reassuring and very good at extractions. I wholeheartedly recommend.
Not the usual good service from the old grammar school dentist today. We were seen by a different dentist (Mr Houlton). Care advice given in a patronising and condescending manner, whilst he was delivering treatment making it difficult to take in. When cleaning teeth, I had to stop treatment due to pain several times, a problem I have never had before despite having numerous dentists with different styles of working. The dentist told me that “it shouldn’t be hurting” and it was “because my gums were unhealthy” (he scored me a 2 out of 4 when performing my gum check which he had just told m…
