Portsmouth Dental Care

I saw the hygienist today, Asia, and can honestly say she was incredible. She carried out my OHT, hygiene, and polish, and made the whole experience so comfortable. I’m not usually a fan of hygienist appointments as I often find them painful or unfriendly, but Asia was the complete opposite — welcoming, kind, and clearly very thorough in her work while genuinely caring about how I felt throughout. There was no pain at all, the service was friendly and professional, and I’ve already rebooked. Thank you *****

Cancelled by appointment within 24 hours due to a bad cold. Received a text saying my slot may not be filled, Ive wasted the dentist’s time, it’s unacceptable and one more cancellation and I’ll be banned. I phoned to explain that I was well enough to come in but I felt it was inconsiderate to my dentist and other patients to have me there coughing, sneezing, blowing my nose and generally spreading germs but if I was to be penalised for not coming in then I would. Turns out my slot had been filled so I’d wasted nobody’s time and yet they kept the “first strike” on my records as it’s company …

I generally find this practice quite inflexible if you need to cancel at short notice but then will call you if they need to move your appointment to fit in someone else. I can't fault the treatment I received but the admin and reception are the ones that made me stop coming back.

Went to this dentist for the first time today and saw a dental therapist she was amazing.. so friendly and helpful! I am terrified of the dentists so this made me feel very much at ease and came out happy about an appointment! All staff seem friendly and helpful
