This was my first appointment at the dentist as a private patient with Dr Nitin.From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by two lovely receptionists who were very welcoming, with big smiles on their faces. As an anxious patient, this made a real difference. They spoke to me kindly and explained what would be happening, which I really appreciated. However, as a private patient, having to wait 50 minutes past my appointment time was extremely disappointing. There was no communication to let me know the clinic was running behind. I've always found this a reliable dental practice and my dentist is great. However, I requested a couple of years ago to the admin team to be switched over to be an NHS patient and was told in good faith that I would be. I didn't realise until recently that I had in fact not been switched over to NHS and had been paying private prices the whole time. In good faith I had paid the costs believing that was the NHS cost and for whatever reason, my appointments had included work indicated within the cost (I usually need work done). Waited over an hour to be seen for a routine appointment, with a toddler not ideal. The dentist did apologie but it would've been nice to be told beforehand. The receptionist wasn't very friendly, the previous receptionist have been so nice and warming. Overall the services are good.
Very pleased with my appointment with Aviva. I arrived for a 15 minute "check up" appointment with a lost filling. This turned out to be a double fracture of the tooth which Aviva repaired after taking xrays to ensure the tooth was repairable. She also filled another tooth that I wasn't aware was damaged. All in all, she took 45 minutes to inspect and repair my teeth. So not rushed and no need to come back for a second visit. I was most pleased to receive the care and attention that enabled me to leave fully repaired. I cannot thank the team enough.
