Verne Road Dental Practice

My 6 years old daughter was an NHS patient for years until now when I was told they are private practice and if I want her to continue using NHS service my husband or I should sign for monthly payment plan, otherwise she is no longer their patient

Another cancellation without being told. Richard cancelled 5pm day before and staff haven’t passed the message. Cheek to then put up stats about 40 missed appointments, wasting 10hrs and wanting to take private. 5th occurrence of a cancellation without being informed. Infuriating. How can you run a business like that?

Whole family has been removed by this practice as going private. Can deal with them removing me but think its poor of them to remove my 18 month old daughter and 74 year old mother from their practice though. Profit over people.

They run a a clear two tier system. If you are a private paying customer you get to see a dentist- downstairs. As a formerly full paying patient I was embarrassed and felt humiliated when I was ushered out of the normal waiting room and sent upstairs to the nhs team after my circumstances changed. The service and treatment was also drastically different. If you are NHS and only pay part of your costs (or none) then you never see a dentist.
