Poor communication, badly coordinated, left hand doesn’t know what right hand is doing. As next of kin on patient records, I was not notified of admission, not informed, impossible to speak to doctors involved in patient care, care decisions delayed, phone never answered in timely manner. Shockingly poor. A disgrace. This is second admission of elderly patients. First time both parents aged 87 taken by ambulance following falls. Mother with head injury, father dementia. Roshea Tierney is, a forty-seven-year-old mother of three. In February of this year Roshea suffered a catastrophic stroke which left her paralysed and blind in one eye. Since then, her life — and ours — has been a continuous fight for dignity, care, and survival. On 7 December, Roshea attended an appointment at Sheffield Northern General Hospital scheduled for 10:00 a.m. The referral had been made by Dr Txxxx in Lincoln. A dangerous mess. 12 hour waits to see a doctor at A&E and 35-40 hour waits for beds. This hospital isn't failing. It's already failed. My father was due to be admitted to the cardiology ward here but they ignored the triage and left him in a chair in A&E with no information so I self discharged him. He went to another hospital the next day and was admitted receiving the care he needed. The difference was night and day. The entire management of this hospital should bear responsibility and be held accountable for the mess they have failed to address over the last few years.

My daughter recently had a baby at LCH , the baby needed a stay on the NICU , the staff on NICU and on the Post Natal ward were simply exceptional . Thank you, my daughter/granddaughter had great care. Written by a Paramedic based not in this region.
