Recently I had to visit E&R here in Kirkwall and I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for amazing care and professionalism. After dislocating my shoulder at work I arrived in the middle of the night and been taken care of amazingly. All staff beginning from nurses to doctors have been amazing and supportive. I have been „fixed” professionally and with great care. Thank to people like this world is better place 🙌🏻 Thank You

From the moment we stepped in thinking nothing was wrong, till the moment we left after emergency surgery every single person there helped us kindly, knowledgeably, and quickly and went above and beyond for us. I'm so incredibly grateful for all the fantastic work of the Dr at the Heilendi practice, her excellent communication with the Maternity ward, the quick response from them and the folks in theater and labs. Absolutely couldn't fault anyone and thank you for your help. All an absolute credit to the NHS and the hospital.

Had flu like symptoms so I was told by a local to just go to the hospital as its free for everyone. I was doubtful at first as in Canada a trip to the hospital tends to last around 7 hours and I was sure there would be hidden fees as I'm not a UK citizen. I was proven wrong in both cases.

What an amazing Emergency department. My daughter visited after hurting her ankle. She was seen straight away and her ankle was x-rayed to check to see if it was broken. Fortunately it was a sprain and a compression sock was given. The Emmergency nurse Gemma was brilliant so kind and knowledgeable. Infact all the staff were lovely. Back home we would gave waited in and out in 30 mins. Thank you lovely Orkney NHS x
