Harrogate District Hospital

Just had the most incredible experience at Harrogate hospital having returned from a skiing holiday with a broken ankle. Everyone, from fracture clinic, plaster room, X-ray and CT scan, admissions, Rowan wing, anaesthetics and my consultant and surgeon were absolutely fantastic and a STARK contrast to the experience we as a family had at LGI when my partner broke his arm. Over the last 2 weeks I have felt looked after and informed throughout and the teams have looked after me at every juncture with care and efficiency and unlike anything I have experienced at hospital before, all of the tea…

Arrived at A&E with my partner just before 6 am this morning. From the time he was seen by the triage nurse until his transfer by ambulance to LGI the care he received was highly professional and efficient. The staff were very caring and kept us informed , explaining everything very clearly. He had a heart attack and the procedure to put in stents was completed by 10 am. Amazing

Staff, at all levels. on Rowan Ward, are to be congratulated on their professionalism. My wife , having her bunion/ toe straightened, has nothing but the highest praise for her treatment by staff before during and after her foot operation. Her lunch was excellent as were the staff serving it. Hospital visits can be traumatic, but smiling, friendly, helpful, knowledgable staff, such as those on Rowan Ward, help to turn such visits into pleasant and memorable experiences. Thank you to all.

Absolutely fantastic care from Harrogate district. Cutting edge, modern and super clean facilities. I’m sat here in a ward after removal of my appendix and can safely say it’s some of the best care I’ve ever received. I have to say your HR dept needs special mention because the staff have been absolutely incredible. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication in such a testing environment. NHS ❤️
