Eastbourne District General Hospital

My elderly mum went in and ended up having a pacemaker fitted. The hospital was fantastic but I want to mention a few nurses in the hope that they get recognition. Raphaela, Abi and Barbara were fantastic withy mum and family. It's a hard job and someone has to do it. Thank you. Update: my mum had since been taken back in with sepsis and ultimately we lost her. Don't listen to the negative reviews, until your in dire trouble you will not realise how good these people are. I would just like to give a huge shout out to the NHS, and in particular the treatment I received at Eastbourne hospital… I was fast tracked with suspected colorectal cancer for an Endoscopy and colonoscopy. The staff were absolutely amazing with advice for bowel prep, keeping me calm, right through to the procedure on the day. Super clean facilities and very professional on every level… it was a really brilliant service…..and no cancer found….so thank you! I feel lucky to have this as my local hospital.

My mother recently stayed on Litlington Ward and the care given by the nurses and Doctors was incredible. I cannot express the amazing work they did supporting the family during mum's stay and also mum. Even down to the last few days of her life they showed such empathy and compassion. Thank you to all the staff on Litlington Ward for all being nothing short of angels without wings. 😇❤️

I visited Rheumatology today to see Dr Panthakalam. Once inside I struggled to tap in my registration details ( Im very disabled) and was immediately offered help by member of the support staff. There was a sense of calm and care in the hospital and each area carefully colour coded labelled, and all sparkling clean. I saw Dr Benson, Mr Ps second in command I believe, at the exact time of my appointment ( nurse in attendance) and spent 20 minutes with him.
