Monklands Dental Care

I'm really disappointed in this practice and not sure if they are incompetent or deliberately scammed my mum into treatment. I went with my mum who is elderly, vulnerable, and terrified of the dentist. The dentist reviewed her documents, assured us all work would be free under the NHS, and booked her in for five separate appointments. Six months later she received a letter from the NHS saying she is not eligible and has to repay £400 within a month. She called the practice manager who confirmed that the dentist had put her down as eligible for free treatment, but said she would do nothing…

I’ve just had one of the worst experiences of my life at this dental practice. I attended a follow‑up appointment because I was still in pain after a filling. I calmly explained to the dentist that I was frustrated about agreeing to his recommendation to redo the filling after the pain had already settled. He immediately took this as a personal attack, raising his voice, waving his hands, and becoming so loud that the receptionist heard everything. The receptionist was lovely as was the dentist. I had all my bottom teeth taken out. A new denture for the top of my mouth which I still can't wear. I was terrified going in the first place. I was in pain for weeks after. I would have liked to have gone back to get it sorted but was too scared.
