Went tonight after a 111 emergency referral. Terrible experience, wish I'd just waited and gone private. Nothing about this was redeeming other than the very pleasant dental nurse. The dentist is miserable, was snapping at his staff and when I asked him if he could tell me if I was missing a filling at the back, he proceeded to say "NO CHECK" which is fine but he could have been polite at least. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with a healthcare provider. Calling this practice is practically pointless. You ring during their advertised opening hours — 9:00am, late morning, different days — and the phone just rings and rings with no answer. I have called repeatedly, countless times, and not once has there been any consistency in someone picking up. I had an appointment at night at 8:00 PM. I arrived five minutes early and informed the receptionist about my appointment. She gave me a form to fill out, but her behavior was not good. After that, I waited in the waiting room. I asked the receptionist how long it would take, and she said she didn’t know and that it would take time. I have tried calling this dentist multiple times over the past few weeks and nobody answered the phone. When I finally managed to get through, the receptionist was very rude and informed me that I had been removed from the register because I supposedly missed an “appointment” that I was never made aware of. I received no communication whatsoever about this appointment — no call, text, email, or letter. The lack of communication and poor customer service has been extremely disappointing.
