I used to be extremely scared of the dentist due to traumatic things at my old dental practice, I moved to my dentist Cowpen road during lockdown. I have a terrible phobia of dentists but had to obtain an emergency appointment due to severe toothache, the receptionist was so helpful and managed to get me a same day appointment, when I arrived after explaining I was very anxious Chloe the dentist and her dental nurse Sarah were amazing, they had such patience with me, I had the tooth removed pain free and they both took so much time and understanding around my anxiety, I can’t recommend enough and feel so relieved the tooth has been removed, thank you! Just had a tooth extracted today, I am a very nervous patient with COPD, and unable to manage the stairs. I was shown into a downstairs surgery where the dentist immediately put me at ease saying that she understood my problem and I would be fine with her treatment. She was correct and after a quick x-ray told me that I had an abscess under my broken tooth. After a quick discussion we decided to remove the tooth. Had the most horrendous experience after being reffered here from 111.. The man who saw me apparently only works Mondays and before he even started any work on my teeth he was sweating and stumbling, tripped over the dentist chair i had to ask if he was ok, he filled a front cavity with temporary filler without drilling or cleaning it out to stop pain. I left crying looking awful. He proceeded to scrub my gum lining without any injection and now ive been left with an oral infection in my whole mouth my what I can only assume is unhygienic equipment!
