I came to this dentist sceptic hesitant and anxious. Due to my mental health I have had a fear of dentist I will admit I have neglected my teeth and the dentist. My first visit me Dr. Kyle McLean was informative but to the point. He told me to buy an electric tooth brush, use interdental brushes and he'd give me a month. I was rigorous with what he suggest I stuck to it every day AND IT WORKED. He told me he couldn't believe the turn around in my gums such to the point I was allowed to have my moulds taken for a dental plate I desperately needed. Do NOT bring your loved ones with additional needs here if you want them to be treated with respect, dignity and kindness. My aunt has autism and significant learning difficulties. She is a well loved member of the Wishaw community, and has been coming here for 60 years. Unfortunately she has been treated very poorly (on a couple of occasions) by one of the dentists recently, leaving her very upset. The latest interaction included not responding to her while she told him about her weekend plans, impatiently instructing her to ‘open her mouth’ eight times, and not allowing her support work…

I was a patient here since I was very young however ended up switching to another dentist last year. My final check up I was told that I needed 2 fillings, after 3 months I still hadn't gotten all the work done due to constantly being cancelled at short notice and waiting weeks for another appointment just to have it cancelled again and again due to my dentist being off sick. While I don't blame the dentist for being unwell I feel a replacement should have been organised instead of repeatedly cancelling.
