Paid for treatment £75, apparently I needed 4 fillings. Had 2 upto now and they are telling me I owe an additional £75 ... 150 for 2 fillings is ridiculous. I will add a couple of the apps had to be changed due to me having to attend hospital ( i have prolapsed discs and nerve damage so walking is difficult as it is) which has been explained to both reception staff. Apparently i have gone over a 2 month period which was not explained to me. One of the staff got it, but the other just slammed the phone down on me. Her attitude is terrible and she suits her name. Terrible dental practice, I came for root canal and crown which took 5 months to complete due to cancelled appointments, re-infection and having to come back to get the mould redone as the dentist didn't do it properly the first time round (in his words because he didn't have his loupes). Quick to set up a payment plan, grand total of £1400 but also quick to cancel appointments at the last minute. My son, age 10 also goes to this practice. I had an excellent experience with my dentist (Kate) who fitted me for clear aligners. She was professional, thorough, and made the entire process seamless. From the initial consultation to the custom fitting, she took the time to explain each step and ensured my aligners were perfectly tailored for my teeth. Her expertise and friendly demeanour made me feel confident and comfortable throughout the treatment. I highly recommend this Kate and MyDentist (Orrell) to anyone considering clear aligners!
Treatments available on the NHS are acceptable but modern dental solutions are not covered and have to be paid for. If paying the option you choose, you hope and expect that the work will be carried out correctly, safely and that the result will make you smile. In my experience mydentist Moor Road (and Wigan branch) do just that. The treatments that my wife and l have had have proved to be very successful and worth every penny.
