Shiphay Dental & Torbay Implant Centre

My first appointment with Mr James Critchley. I was extremely anxious and nervous but needn’t have been. I had not visited the dentist for quite some time due to my anxieties. However, my worries were completely unnecessary as James is by far, is one of the best dentists I have ever come across. He has an extremely calming and soothing manner and immediately makes you feel relaxed. And the added bonus is that it was pain free as well. Shiphay Dental is a lovely modern surgery and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was nice to be greeted with a “welcome” from the receptionist…

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Receptionists so welcoming and as a very nervous patient, made me feel at ease. Dental nurse Tilly so lovely and Rana my dentist was amazing, the quality of care and attention to detail was exceptional. She explained the extraction procedure prior and I have never been so relaxed in the chair. A great team and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone! Once again massive thanks to Rana and Tilly for your patience and care!

Had the pleasure of seeing Rachel and Anna for my hygiene visit a week ago, and they did an absolutely amazing job! It had been a while since I’d had a hygiene visit so my teeth were very stained and I was starting to become very self conscious about them. Rachel suggested I try the new airflow polishing treatment, it basically blasts a mixture of powder and water at your teeth and completely gets rid of all staining, even on the biting surface! It was a bit messy but it was much more comfortable than having the normal paste and brush, well worth the extra £15. My teeth are now back to bein…

I don't post any reviews, but I really felt this time I should. Thanks to Rachel and Anna I had the best tooth clean and stain removal with the Airflow device. Being a red wine, tea and coffee drinker even with the most thorough daily teeth clean and floss stains still build up. I couldn't believe how my teeth came up. Pearly whites.....incredible. I would recommend to all my nearest and dearest. Thank you Rachel and Anna. Amazing.
