Abbey Mead Dental Practice and Implant Centre

I am a new patient to this practice. I saw Brian initially for a check up, very pleased with how he treated me, excellent manner. I then saw the hygienist Nicole for a scale and polish, completely pain-free experience for which I’m very grateful. Both Brian and Nicole were assisted by really friendly and helpful nurses. Would highly recommend this practice, extremely professional and put me at my ease from the very start.

Excellent service at high cost. I’m sure there are overheads such insurance etc, and training of course but the actual inspection took under five minutes. I know it’s ‘the norm’ for private dentistry but sad none the less. I trained to a high degree in music: many years including three at a well known London music college. I have letters after my name but because I’m in the leisure industry I can’t command even a fraction of that hourly rate, especially in a poor county like Cornwall. Please understand I’m not criticising the service, only the system.

I recently joined this practice and have already had my initial review and my first filling. Both visits were handled with real professionalism and care. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and my dentist explained everything clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. The filling itself was done quickly and comfortably, which was a huge relief. For someone new to the practice, it’s reassuring to feel in such good hands. I’m very glad I chose this dentist.

I broke a tooth on Sunday evening. I rang on Monday, not expecting to be seen for weeks as I wasn't in pain. Despite the practice being shorthanded I was seen on Friday morning and had my tooth permanently fixed. All the staff we friendly, reassuring, and professional. I was seen bang on time and received excellent care. I'm a nervous patient and they were lovely.
