An ambulance was called for my dad from his home in Leek on Wednesday night. It did not take too long to arrive with 3 lovely paramedics, Theresa, Lucy and Ruby. They were absolutely amazing from start to when my husband and I left my dad in their capable hands. They were professional, friendly, caring and funny. The kind of people I would trust with my dad. Massive improvement at this hospital. This has always been the hospital I go to, many years ago it was always fantastic and then due to growing pressure from covid it went massively down hill. But my more recent visit the care has been brilliant. But bearing in mind, I am understanding that people with more serious injuries and illnesses are priotised and rightly so. I witnessed a baby come in fully gasping for air and there was no hesitation, they whipped that baby straight through, teams come rushing. My own son had a serious head injury earlier this year and rushed him straight through …

I attended A&E on 23 December with chest pain and was assessed promptly. The triage nurse was extremely friendly, professional, and thorough, which immediately helped put me at ease. All initial blood tests and investigations were carried out efficiently. I was also very impressed with the member of staff who performed my ECG and took my blood samples. She was kind, reassuring, and meticulous in her approach, explaining what she was doing and helping to reduce my anxiety at what was a worrying time.
