Disley Dental Centre

I would most certainly recommend Disley Dental Centre. My family of 4 have been attending this practice for many years. We all feel very relaxed in the dental chair. Our dentist is very patient and gentle which puts us at ease when we have any dental treatment. All the staff are very professional, pleasant and caring. I would definitely recommend this dental practice.

Good NHS dental service. Dr Joe McGurk is a nice young doctor, who is friendly and careful. I was surprised to learn that NHS service does not offer colour matching of white-filling, which is a very basic thing, done even in third-class clinics abroad. What about the quality of the filling? What is the value of expensive 6-year education of the doctor if he cannot use quality materials due to NHS "savings"?

I am suffering with unbearable toothache due to a broken tooth. I rang my own dentist to be told no dentist can see me till Monday (this was Wednesday) but gave me the number for Disley dental centre for my emergency. I had an X-ray and was told I need root canal treatment or an extraction but he is not able to do any of these it has to be my own dentist and that he can only put a dressing on! I feel like I was absolutely fobbed off here! I asked him will he please at least stop the pain if this is the case to which he replied ‘it might stop it might not’! I have been a patient at this practice for 26 years during which time have had 2 dentists, both excellent.
