Wentworth House Dental Practice

Received a text weeks ago advising Michael Alexander had retired and they had to cancel my July appointment. Rang the practice and was told a letter would be sent out to patients explaining what was going to happen. Never received a letter so weeks later I rang the practice to see what was happening, only to be told. No replacement Dentist could be found and that all NHS patients that the could take had been notified and that they offered me a private dental plan for £16 per month. My husband went to Wentworth house to check about my dentist appointment but it has been cancelled and had not been informed , because he had retired.. Mr Alexander had been working at the practice since he moved from his Horden practice. I rang to find when I could have another appointment and was told I would need to go private now, because I was not their patient. I was told if Mr Alexander retired I would be put on there books no we can't take you on. Been a patient of Michael Alexander for over 40 years ( though my last visit was with Jamie who said I could see him next time if I wished) Rang for an appointment yesterday and was told Mike wasn't 'with us anymore'. . . moved elsewhere? retired? dead? Looking through reviews I discovered he has retired! Replies to comments from the surgery state that all his patients were informed by email! Well maybe some were but I certainly wasn't. Very poor service!
