If you already have an ENT appointment, that’s good. Otherwise, it can take a very long time to get one these days. The ENT service is really poor. Follow-up appointments usually take around 6 to 8 months, and instead of helping properly, they often just refer you to another department. The ENT department really needs big improvements.
I had my septorhinoplasty at this hospital with Vikas Acharya, and he and his team, especially Talisa, were excellent from start to finish. They were all very friendly and made me feel at ease throughout. On the day of the surgery, the nurses and team helped calm my nerves, and everything was handled really well. The aftercare was also great, and I felt well looked after when getting my splints and cast removed. Thanks to Vikas and his team, I can finally breathe properly again. Worst clinic I’ve ever seen in the NHS (from someone who actually works in the NHS). Had 5 appointments cancelled, with each cancellation you are sent back to end of the 6 months waiting list….. haven’t been seen in 2.5 years now. Last minute cancellation after you’ve taken time off work and booked your train tickets. Once I only found out they cancelled the appointment on the day after I showed up! Absolutely disgraceful service, and when you file a complaint the team handling it is as oblivious as you can get. No wonder the NHS is failing when you got such incompetent people running th…
-2 floor team was stellar, I did have an appointment booked through my GP so I suggest you ensure your GP helps you secure a slot, reception was fast, clean facilities and good explanations
