It has been quite some time since my appointment, but the experience still affects me, which is why I feel it is important to leave this review. On 1 November 2024 at 14:30 I attended an appointment at 17 Dental for wisdom teeth extraction. The local anaesthetic did not work properly and I continued to feel significant pain. The dentist attempted the extraction but had to stop because of my discomfort. I was then given another injection and asked to wait near reception. Terrible experience. Came here twice to have 2 of my wisdom teeth removed. Both of them developed infections and dry socket. Although not necessarily the practice's fault for this, the Dr was rude and made me completely uneasy and made me feel responsible to make him be comfortable. Told him I had previous medical history relevant to the case only to be told "doesn't affect my life". When putting my hand up due to extreme pain, the response was "what now? I had to have a tooth extraction which was a daunting prospect. The dentist was amazing. He put me at ease. Thank you care and kindness.

Dr Ali was amazing, really friendly, kind and explained everything in the process. His team was also comforting and even held my hand when I braced for the injections! Really person centred.
