Usually good service but new dentist wanted to charge me band 1 rate £27.40 for counting my teeth and telling me I had plaque. She then quoted me over £70 for scale and polish which she claimed was only available on band 2. Checked when I got home and no a scale and polish is covered by band 1. So I’m not at all happy with this service.

I visited the dental practice in December 2023 with the expectation of a comprehensive examination but was disappointed as the doctor only checked one tooth claiming she had no time to check the other teeth, yet few minutes earlier she had offered to perform a temporary filling (somehow she had time for that..), which I had refused preferring a permanent filling when I would have needed attending again. The doctor explained the reason she had no time was because the appointment was categorized as an "emergency booking," which was bizarre as I scheduled the appointment over a week in advanc…
