My daughter Summer had her braces removed in January and she was fitted with a retainer and this retainer has now snapped in half after only little use. Online it says the NHS will replace the retainer for no fee during the first 12 months as long as it can be shown to the practice. I rang the orthodontist and spoke to the receptionist who flat out refused to even hear what I had to say stating that I have to pay a £99.60 replacement fee for a further retainer.
