Using a friends account to review but want to be super clear. I have had bad teeth from 16years onwards due to a lot of depression, eating disorders and other life events that led to lack of hygiene. This being said when I first came for an apponment after (6-10years) of no check ups because of embarrassment, I was very clear that they were bad before even showing the dentist and he did nothing but make me cry. Literally. I wrote to the practice and complained, this dentist was SERIOUSLY rude and humiliated me. He spoke to staff rudely whilst I was there too. Incredibly unprofessional. I th…
I knew I had a non-urgent fillng when I came here from my previous private practice, but the young-ish dentist found many more fillings to be done. In retrospect, I felt he might have wanted to restore my mouth to "textbook perfection" which, in my advancing years, I am not bothered about (though he did not ask). Or maybe NHS dentists are remunerated per filling, so he was trying to find work to do? (No offence intended by that question, and we all need to make a decent living.) It's difficult to know how long out of dental school he is, but client deference and politeness are not his stron…
I am beyond disappointed with how this practice handled our situation. We missed our son’s dental appointment because he was being rushed to A&E in an ambulance. As any parent can imagine, that was an extremely distressing and urgent situation. Informing a dentist’s office was understandably not our priority at that moment. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion when we explained what had happened, we were told our son had been blocked from the practice and we would need to find another dentist. Blocking a child from a dental practice because they were in an emergency medical…
The two ladies in reception were helpful and nice. I don't like going to the dentist as I've had a few bad experiences. The dentist that saw me, never asked any questions, he had the dental nurse count my teeth had his back towards me the entire time putting the information in the computer. He just didn't seem to care that I have a phobia, didn't even try to put me at ease, looked at my tooth no x-rays were taken and to be honest he couldn't wait to get me out of that chair. So I decided to go else where!
