My daughter has some SEN needs. Dr Nabeel called ahead of the appointment to discuss what might make her feel comfortable with her selective mutism. We suggested just walking through things at slow pace. Well, to say I was impressed with everyones approach and utterly grateful, is an understatement. We've been searching for a dentist for years but most have been rude and didn't want to spend the time trying to understand what the issues were facing a SEN child. From the moment we stepped through the door, Dr Nabeel had her feeling comfortable and communicating (although quietly at first).…
Amazing experience with Dr Nabeel, patient and super friendly with my 17 month old. By the end of it, he didnt want to leave. Gave advice and steps that are easy to follow to aid oral care. Definitely will be returning!!
This was my first time going here with my daughter, and from the get go I was impressed. Even before the appointment, they emailed asking about the things she likes and enjoys talking about so they could make conversation with her on the day. She has sensory struggles, is very shy and reserved, and it was also her very first dental appointment, so naturally I was extremely anxious about how it would go. From the moment we walked in though, she was happy because the waiting room felt calm and relaxed, and the quieter, more individual experience really helped stop her from becoming overstimu…
Had a great experience at First Smiles with my son. From the moment that you enter the practice, it is clear that there was a lot of thought and attention to detail that went into curating the space specifically for children. My son had a lovely time and has asked to go back again soon!
