Birmingham Dental Hospital and School of Dentistry

We had to visit for my daughter to have a couple of her teeth removed, with general anesthesia.... she was obviously nervous and started to cry, the team who was dealing with my daughter were incredibly calm, patient and kind with her, they managed to help calm Lexi enough for her to fall asleep easily, the procedure was done quite quickly and as soon as she was starting to wake up, we were brought back in with her... Again. I can't say how my of a friendly/caring team they were.

Quite impressed with this hospital. Has a good balance of treating patients and training students at the same time. Students seems quite competent and are overseen by the consultants who are there to help when needed. Waiting times are quite long but that's to be expected with how many people need treatment. I like to see professional places like this training the students it's a good system.

Terrible lack of organisation. I arrived, waited in the queue at reception and checked in. I was then asked to wait and that i would get called. 10 minutes or so someone came out and called my name. I confirmed i was present and was met with an "Oh.... did you check in?". Yes I checked in. "Oh they didn't mark you off. I'll just go and mark you off, it'll be 2 minutes". 30 minutes later and I'm still stood here in the same spot. Come say hello next time you're called in for a visit.

Went here in an emergency as the bleeding did not stop after having my tooth removed by my local dentist the day before. The team at reception were just amazing. They saw my situation and got me in to see the dentist / surgeon named Gareth, a truly high level remarkable and outstanding person. With his equally amazing team he stitched up the area. Cannot thank the the team at reception and the team in the medical area, including the amazing Gareth enough. Thank you.
