2 sessions ago, I had a filling done on my top right tooth at the back of my mouth. Notably, the filling doesn’t fill the whole tooth, which has left me with a sharp ridge line from where it was drilled out. Due to this, eating things has become uncomfortable as I can get irritable & very sharp pain. I re-booked, went in, explained to them the situation, to which they said they wanted another £300 to re do the filling they messed up in the first place. The pain before my filling? Manageable. Zero stars. 👎🏼👎🏼 I've been without a dentist here since 2021 since mine left. This followed a period where my appointments got cancelled last min (literally a text the week before) and then pushed back six months and then that one would get cancelled on me. I guess I should have seen this coming. The poor service was already there. Thankful that New Street stepped in and looked after my young child. My dentist referred me here to have a wisdom tooth removal. The process took from March to now, but through no fault of MyDentist, they fitted me in as soon as I rang and I managed to get a cancellation appointment, which I wasn’t expecting. The team who dealt with my extraction were brilliant from start to finish, they explained everything and were really reassuring. The extraction wasn’t the easiest and it wasn’t 100% straight forward. I suffer with anxiety when it comes to dentistry. The receptionist, assistants and surgeon here seemed to understand this and helped me to feel completely at ease. The extraction was a tricky one as a lot of my tooth had already crumbled away, but the surgeon was an absolute trooper and was determined to make it as quick and easy as possible, giving me positive encouragement all of the time. I can tell that all of the staff here work so well together as a team, and that the experience of the patient is number one.
