I spent 9 months here as a teenager in 2012. If it wasn’t for the fact I reached and maintained level 12 then they never would’ve let me leave. I suffered and witnessed horrific physical and psychological abuse from the staff and doctors here. I witnessed horrific acts of self harm and life ending attempts from other girls on the ward during the many times we were left unsupervised. I was attacked by other patients. I’ve had consistently poor experiences with the service at Churchward. If you’re thinking of placing your loved ones here, be prepared for long waits to see them. On several occasions, I’ve had to wait over an hour just to visit my dad. Additionally, the staff rarely answer phone calls, even after ringing continuously for over four hours without any response. I’ve often had no choice but to go there in person, only to face more delays. It’s incredibly disheartening, especially when you’re trying to care for a loved one. Even a star is bit more for their service😑

St Andrews Healthcare is the best hospital in the country. The staff are friendly and professional, always ready to support anyone.
